Free tool for brokers
Safety sheet: show your carriers how to verify it's really you.
Fraudsters book loads with your name, your MC and an email that looks like yours. Give your carriers one sheet with your real phone line, your only email domain and what you never ask for. Fill in a few fields, print it, or put it on your website as a "Verify it's us" page. Free, no signup.
The details you type stay in your browser. We don't receive or store them.
What's on the sheet
Six things a carrier checks before rolling on your load
A rate con with your logo proves nothing. These six things are hard for a fraudster to fake, and easy for a dispatcher to check.
This is us
Your company name, MC and USDOT, and the main line exactly as it appears on your FMCSA SAFER record.
Not us
Your only email domains, plus made-up examples of lookalikes to watch for: a swapped letter, rn for m, an added -llc, .co for .com.
We will never
Charge a fee to book a load, take payment by Zelle or Cash App, ask for passwords or codes, ask for a CDL photo by text, or change bank details by email.
How load changes work
A new address, time, rate or pickup number counts only after a call on your main line and a revised rate con from your system. Never by text.
A call-back script
"I got a rate con for load # from. Can you confirm it's yours?" The dispatcher calls your number from the sheet, not the one in the email.
A QR code
It opens your record on FMCSA SAFER, so the carrier compares your phone with an independent source. Or it opens your own Verify page.
Formats
Four print formats, in English and Spanish
Letter page
The full sheet on one 8.5 × 11 page. Goes into your carrier packet for every new carrier.
Half sheets
Two inserts per page with a cut line. Clip one to the first rate con with a new carrier.
Visor cards
Ten business cards per page, sized for Avery 8371 or 8871 stock. For drivers who run your lanes.
11 × 17 poster
Big phone number and three rules, for the wall of a carrier's dispatch office.
For your website
A "Verify it's us" page on your own domain
The generator also builds a web page with the same details. A fraudster can copy your logo and your PDF. They can't put a page on your domain. Carriers who search your name find the real answer on your site.
Download or copy it
Download verify.html, or copy the HTML block. It has its own styles and works on any site.
Put it on your site
Upload it as yourcompany.com/verify, or paste the HTML into a new page in WordPress, Wix or Squarespace.
Link it everywhere
Your site footer, your email signature and your rate cons. Then put the address into the generator, and the QR codes on your sheets open it.

Questions
About the safety sheet
What is a carrier safety sheet?
A one-page notice a freight broker gives its carriers. It lists the broker's real MC, phone line and email domains, what the broker never asks for, and how load changes work. A dispatcher uses it to tell a real load from a fake one that uses the broker's name.
How do I verify a freight broker is legit?
Look up the broker's MC or USDOT in FMCSA SAFER, check that its broker authority is active, and call the phone number listed there, not the number in the email or text. Check that the email comes from the broker's own domain. Treat any change to the address, time or rate as real only after that call and a revised rate con.
Should a broker publish its MC number?
Yes. A fraudster reads your MC from FMCSA's public data anyway. A hidden MC only slows down the honest carrier who wants to check you. Publish it together with the phone number on your SAFER record.
How do I stop fraudsters from using my brokerage's name?
Nothing stops it completely. Put DMARC on your email domain at quarantine or reject, register the most obvious lookalike domains yourself, keep your SAFER record correct, give carriers this sheet, and train your team with the fraud drill. The security checklists cover each step.
Is it free? Do you keep my data?
It's free and needs no signup. The sheet is built in your browser. The details you type are not sent to Retexa.
Which languages does it support?
English and Spanish. You can print one language or both in the same file.
